Recipes For Mini Makers

The two recipes I'm sharing today are my Cinnamon Bun Waffle and my Mini Apple Pies! Both are delicious fun sweet treats, I hope you enjoy!

Cinnamon bun waffles:

My Sunday rituals use to be a nice brunch and now its brunch at home, still nice a lot cheaper but there is now more of a clean up than I would like😂. But I do love these quick and easy Cinnabun Waffles!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Pillsbury cinnamon buns (you can use the regular ones or the ones with the cream cheese frosting but stay away from the grands)
  • 1 mini waffle maker
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions:
  1. Plug in the waffle maker to heat up, spray with non stick cooking spray
  2. Open Cinnamon Bun Package
  3. Once the waffle maker is heated place 1 of the uncooked buns on the maker and close tightly
  4. Cook for 3 1/2 to 5 mins squishing down again at the 2 min mark ( I like mine a little softer if you like them more cooked then go for a little more time!)
  5. Set the Icing container on top of the waffle maker as it cooks each waffle, this will allow it to soften and make it easier to pour over the waffle buns
  6. grab the waffle bun off the maker with tongs, set on plate with icing on top and put the next one on the waffle maker.
  7. Enjoy when all done!

Mini Apple Pies(makes 4):

These mini apple pies are the best, so cute and convenient, you can eat them without utensils or top with your favorite scoop of ice cream and dig on in!

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 Medium sized McIntosh Apples
  •  pre-made Pie crust (the one that comes in a box rolled up)
  •  2 1/2 cups of sugar
  •  3 tbs of cinnamon
  •  1 tbs of vanilla extract
  •  2 tbs of flour
  •  1 lemon Or 2 tbs of lemon juice

You'll also need:
  •  Mini Pie maker (will have stencils included to cut pie crust to right size)
  •  Large mixing bowl
  •  Frying pan

Instructions:
  1. Peal and chop apples up into 1/2 inch square like pieces
  2. Unroll Pie crusts and let sit on cutting board or clean and flowered counter top
  3. add the sugar, cinnamon flour to the bowl and mix up
  4. place the apples in the bowl and squeeze 1/2 the lemon onto the top (or add the lemon juice) then add vanilla
  5. mix the bowl all together coating the apples
  6. Bake the apple mix in the frying pan string frequently for 8-10 minutes until soft
  7. Plug in the Mini Apple Pie maker to heat up
  8. Use the stencil to cut thawed pie crust to make top and bottom of pie. You can cut or use mini cookie cutters to make cute designs on the top smaller crust if you would like.
  9. Place bottom pie crust (the bigger sized circle) in mini pie maker pushing down to make sure it fills the bottom, fill with about 1 cup of pie filling then top with smaller pie crust. Slowly push down the top to create the pie seal then lift back up just a tiny bit. That will allow the pie to cook without completely burning the edge.
  10. let cook for 3-5 minutes checking on the pie after about 2 1/2 mins. if edges of pie start to get to crispy for your liking, put small amounts of foil around edges like you would an actual pie and continue to cook until middle of the top of the crust is fully cooked.
  11. Finally take out pie and enjoy! (I used the tip of a knife under the crust to lift the pie and slid the plate under to get it out safely. please be careful when doing this!)
