My dinning room area has been a work in progress since we moved in on Dec 1st 2018. We had nothing there to a dog crate and then a random dresser. So we started to order furniture slowly because furnishing a new apartment is a little expensive. Here is how we turned this barley used space into an actual dinning area and work from home space!
First we needed a table, I love the bar height of informal dinning tables as I think it makes the space feel more open. I also looked for a neutral color which is the dark grey wood finish. We got the table on Amazon as it was the exact type I was searching for. Oddly most furniture stores do not carry a bar height table set as I checked out local and online stores. This table was $569 which is about average for a dinning set, it came with both the table and matching chairs too! It's really great quality which I was a little surprised at as I sometimes feel you do not always know what you'll get on Amazon. The chairs are really sturdy and it was super easy to assemble! There is also two shelves under the main table part which is great for storing your laptop or computer! Here is the Link for the table.Next we added the bookcase which I absolutely love! It was only $169, this assembled in 15 minutes and looks so classy! Each shelf holds about 70lbs and the finish is also wood with black metal bars as the main structure with metal crossing bars in the back for support. We made the top part a bar shelf for the liquor and custom glasses we have and the bottom for bins with some of our exercise equipment. I did decorate them with some fall decor, pumpkins and leafs I got on a pack also from Amazon and also some lights from Target a couple years ago!
